Direct from UK Ministry of Defence reserve stock, appearing to have been unissued, the Airborne Industries Revivor II Aerostat Security Surveillance System provides base security personnel with high resolution, day or night surveillance capability for enhanced target recognition and situational awareness.
The multi-spectral sensor unit contains day and night cameras and was designed with a laser range finder. It can be used in conjunction with a ground surveillance radar which directs the sensor unit to any moving objects
The unit is trailer mounted and fully integrated for maximum utility on a Humbaur GmbH twin Axle 3500kg capacity trailer.
It features onboard power from the integral generator with self-contained fuel supply for remote deployment. The system can also be connected to external power-in for when sited for more permanent use.
The whole system is self-contained with all ancillaries in weatherproof Zarges containers and features:
1300 Skyhawk gyro stabilized camera platform with mounting kit suitable for aerostats, but also adaptable for aircraft or masts.
Deployable aerostat docking mast.
Thermal core supplied by Thermoteknix Ethernet or radio remote control options
Three high intensity infra-red LED’s for aircraft warning
The system comprise an onboard power unit and integrated system control unit (SCU).
The camera platform is docked with an Aerostat Interface unit (AIU).
The AIU is suspended from the aerostat which is tethered to the trailer-based winch.
The SCU is connected to the winch via a coaxial cable of up to 500m.
Self-contained and of sufficient size to allow rapid deployment, ingeniously built on a fully integrated trailer capable of easily being towed by a 4 wheel drive vehicle and featuring an adaptable hitch to enable towing by much larger vehicles. Onboard brakes and electrical connections.
The system comes full inflation kit, spares, repairs kits and manuals.
